Iritis / Uveitis
This is an inflammatory condition affecting the iris (the coloured part of the eye).
What are the symptoms?
Typically a red aching eye with blurred vision and photophobia (sensitivity to light).
What is the treatment?
- An anti-inflammatory drop or ointment.
- Occasionally a dilating drop is also used to prevent the pupil from becoming stuck to the lens. This will also make the eye more comfortable. These drops can also blur vision.
