As the Oakley Jawbone is packed with advanced technologies it is part of the Oakley Sport Performance sunglasses collection. The Oakley Jawbone model is fitted with the new cutting edge Oakley Switchlock interchangeable lens system. The Switchlock technology enables lenses to be changed quickly with minimal handling. The Oakley Jawbone's lower jaw is released by pivoting the nosepiece. Once the lower jaw is released the Jawbone lens can then be removed and replaced. The Jawbone lower jaw is raised to lock the jaw securely in place.
Each Oakley Jawbone is supplied with 2 sets of lenses, a dark lens and a second lighter lens (only available on non-photochromic lens models). Oakley Jawbone lenses have a hydrophobic coating already applied, this repels water and helps to reduce marks and smears.
Clarity of vision is crucial so the Oakley Jawbone has been engineered so that the lenses are virtually suspended, removing any lens pressure that can lead to distortion. The Oakley Jawbone is fitted with Plutonite High Definition Optics (HDO) offering 100 percent UV filtration with impact protection. Unobtainium nose pads and arm tips ensures that the Oakley Jawbone keeps a secure grip whilst is comfortable no matter what demands you place upon them.
