Entropion
What is an Entropion?
An entropion is a common condition occurring mainly in elderly people where the lower eyelid turns in.
Common symptoms
- Irritation.
- Discomfort.
- Foreign body sensation.
- Eye watering.
How can this be treated?
A small operation on the eyelid is usually performed as a day case.
For symptomatic relief the eyelid can be taped to the cheek, this prevents the eyelashes from rubbing the eye.
